Liverpool based performer, writer and producer Tom Anderson returns with his new escapist single, ‘Northern Lights’.
The new single will be Anderson’s third solo release in as many months, with more lined up for the near future. Since his departure from his band VENUS DEMILO, best known for their single ‘Sinking Ships’, Anderson has spent the past six months writing, producing and collaborating with other artists, including Spinn, Gazelle, Tori Cross, 2ME & Kova.
The new single was originally written by Anthony Lee & Paul Alan Edwards. Lee played the song to Anderson who immediately loved what he heard and turned it into what we now hear as ‘Northern Lights’, a song that he says is “for anyone who wants to travel the world with the person they love”.
Tom has cited the likes of The Japanese House and The Head & The Heart as his greatest influences whilst recording ‘Northern Lights’ and their sound is evident on the new track.
Tom has been supported over the past few months by Dave Monks at BBC Introducing Merseyside, GetIntoThis, Bittersweet Symphonies, XuneMag, Overblown.
